Size & Style
When choosing a cabin with more than one room, you will need to consider the following:
- Your available space
- Functionality
- Budget
Our multi-room log cabins for sale in the UK come in a variety of sizes and styles, so you can find one that fits your needs and budget. They are typically made from wood, but they can also be made from other materials, such as stone or metal.
Placement & Compliance
Once you have chosen a cabin, you will need to decide where to place it in relation to your main house. Make sure that the area is level and that there is enough space for the cabin and any other structures you want to build.
Remember you need to comply with Planning Permission AND Building Regs. If you have any questions, contact your local planning office and Building Control office. They can help you better understand if the proposed building requires approval.
We are delighted to offer an extensive range of multi-room log cabins and timber buildings. From the very small (4x3m) to the VERY large, our cabins represent all that is required to facilitate a garden building with more than two rooms.
Our multi-room garden log cabins offer various means of access. You can choose to access the extra rooms externally or have them share the same entrance with an internal door to access the second room.
Here’s what you can expect from our practical range of multi-room summer houses.
Quality Cabins Suited to Your Budget
All our log cabins are manufactured to high standards using fully interlocking logs in thicknesses of:
- 34mm
- 44mm
- 68mm
- 90mm
They also come with timber-framed windows and doors.
From the Timber Cabins (manufacturer) range, you can choose between three standards of double glazing.
From a basic unit through to the Superior range and, ultimately, the Premium range, where the key elements are a 20mm gap between panes filled with argon gas, fully adjustable hinges, and a multi-point locking system.
Bear in mind that if you are considering using one of the larger buildings for permanent occupation, the building will be subject to Building Regulations.
Insulation Opportunities
In their standard configuration, our multi-room log cabins don’t meet full residential requirements. This is mainly due to the very high levels of insulation needed. This can, however, be achieved by insulating the underfloor, roof and walls. If you find one of our multi-room garden cabins that meet your requirements, do get in touch to discuss further. In most cases, we are able to accommodate your roof, wall and floor insulation requirements.
If you are looking for a way to add extra space and beauty to your family home or garden, a multi-room log cabin is a great option. Here are some of the benefits of multi-room log cabins:
Why a Multi-Room Cabin is the Perfect Addition to Your Outdoor Space
Here are some of the benefits of a multi-room cabin :
- Extra space: Multi-room log cabins offer a lot of extra living or storage space. You can use the rooms for various purposes, such as sleeping, working, or entertaining guests.
- Durability: Log cabins are made from durable materials that can withstand the elements.
- Aesthetics: Log cabins can add a touch of beauty to your property while providing ample space for a cosy retreat.
- Value for money: Log cabins are a good investment, as they tend to hold their value well and can enhance a property’s resale value.
- Sustainable: Log cabins are made from natural materials, making them a sustainable and environmentally friendly choice.
- Highly customisable: They can be made from different materials, including logs, wood and stone. You can customise them to match your specific needs and preferences.
- Versatile usage: A cabin with two rooms removes the need for two separate buildings. One room can be used for relaxing, while the other can serve a more utilitarian purpose, such as storing your garden equipment and tools.
Along with all the standard quality features that all our cabins provide, key features in this multi-room shed range include:
- Wall thicknesses from 34mm up to a massive 120mm
- Internal walls keyed into the building provide a sound build quality
- Three standards of double glazing - the Premium kit really is very special and worthy of the relatively small additional price tag

What customisation options are available?
Log Cabin Kits offer a wide range of customisation options to improve the functionality or aesthetics of your building. This can be as simple as adding a large window, a specific style of door or choosing different construction materials.
We give you the freedom to tailor your design and features to meet your specific needs and preferences. You can choose from various sizes, styles and building elements, and select various windows, doors, floor and roofing options.
Will my multi-room log cabin require planning permission?
In most cases, your new building won’t need planning permission, but there are exceptions. It’s wise to do some research before starting your project. Larger cabins may often be subject to regulatory requirements.
What’s the difference between double-glazing and single-glazing windows for log cabins ?
The biggest difference between single and double glazing is their composition:
- Double-glazed windows consist of two panes of glass with a gap in between. This gap is filled with argon gas, which reduces heat loss and improves indoor air quality and comfort. Double-glazing offers better insulation and energy efficiency compared to single-glazing.
- Single-glazed windows consist of only one pane of glass and provide less insulation.
Does double glazing cost more?
Yes, our cabins offer optional double glazing at a small extra cost. While there is an initial investment, double-glazed units save money over time through reduced energy costs. In addition, our double glazing provides unmatched quality, longevity and security.
How do you ensure my garden building is protected from the elements?
Our garden buildings are designed with a roof overhang to protect the walls and foundation from weather damage. We’ve designed our log cabins with the UK weather in mind to ensure optimal structural integrity over time. A quality overhang protects your cabin from rain, snow and other elements. This element can help to preserve the condition of the cabin’s internal space.
How durable are your garden buildings?
Durability is central to the design of our log cabins, as they’re engineered to withstand the harsh UK weather and heavy use over time. Your cabin will remain safe, secure and functional thanks to its top-notch materials and heavy-duty construction techniques.
How do I maintain my multi-room garden cabin?
Regular maintenance includes regularly treating the wood with preservatives and inspecting and repairing damaged roof shingles. We also recommend that you clean your gutters regularly and check the integrity of the wall logs and double-glazing. These checks are to ensure your cabin stays in top condition.
Do you have any anti-rot guarantees?
Yes, most of our log cabins are backed by 5-10-year anti-rot guarantees for your peace of mind. This allows you to enjoy your cabin with confidence, knowing we are here to support you if any rot or decay issues arise. To maintain the validity of the guarantee, regular treatment of the cabin is essential.
What are wall logs, and how do they affect insulation?
Wall logs are the primary structural elements of a log cabin, and their thickness can impact insulation. Larger or thicker wall logs offer better thermal insulation, helping to keep your cabin warm during colder months and cool in the summer.
How does interlocking log construction benefit my garden cabin?
We interlock our log construction to ensure a more secure fit between the wall logs, enhancing the overall stability of the cabin. This method also provides better insulation, reduce drafts and helping maintain a comfortable indoor environment year-round.
