Christmas is set to look a little different this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, but four wonderful businesses have teamed up to make sure that children don’t miss out on the tradition of visiting magical log cabins, by creating festive grottos with a contemporary Covid-secure twist.

Their idea is to bring the Christmas grotto to you. Based in Royston and the surrounding villages, they’ll set up a grotto in your very own back garden, which can include festive tepees for sleepovers, and even a personal Zoom call with the one and only Father Christmas himself!

The four companies are called House of Parties, Kelly’s Kitchen, Tentshare and Sleepy Creations, and the news was announced on the Royston Christmas Experiences Facebook page, and is already spreading Christmas cheer to homes across the area this winter.

Log Cabin On A Budget

“We are absolutely thrilled to be bringing Father Christmas and festive joy to families in Royston, particularly after this very difficult year," said Rebecca, who is the founder of Tentshare.

Kelly (of Kelly’s Kitchen) said she is determined to bring the taste of Christmas to as many local families as possible: “This year’s Christmas treats have been tried and tested guaranteeing some festive sweet treats to your celebrations. As a firm believer in Christmas magic, I’m delighted to be part of this amazing collaboration.”

And not only are the inspirational companies bringing Christmas magic to the children of Royston, but they’re spreading the magic even further by donating 20% of all the proceeds to the charity Home-Start Royston in Buntingford and South Cambridgeshire.
