How To Make The Most Of Your Garden Log Cabin

If you’re considering building a log cabin in the UK for your garden, you might be wondering how you can get the most out of this space once it’s constructed.

One of the great parts about having a log cabin in your garden is its versatility - there are a number of ways you can use it, both in everyday life and when you’re entertaining.

Log Cabin On A Budget

A recent article for The Weston Mercury offered some suggestions of how to make the most of this kind of addition to your property.

The first suggestion is to use it as an unusual space to entertain guests (once we’re allowed to visit each other’s homes again). You could have dinner in your log cabin looking out over the garden if the weather is a bit cool or rainy, or you can eat alfresco and use this as a cosy space to retreat to as the sun goes down.

It’s also a wonderful space for you to relax in and leave the world behind. Make sure it’s cosy and use the space for everything from a calming meditation to a gentle yoga practice. Pop a comfy seat or two in there and you can transform it into a reading room too.

Of course, many of us are having to work from home for the first time and a log cabin could be the perfect home office environment. As it’s removed from the main house it’s easier to feel as though you’re still ‘going to work’, even if your commute is just to the end of your garden.

We recently pointed out why log cabins have become a must-have for many families during lockdown. One of the reasons why they’re so handy is that they make a brilliant play space for kids.
