The home office setup became a necessity in 2020, and many people turned to their humble sheds or summer log cabins as a place to get away from it all, and the peace and quiet to work, as well as helping create a separation between work and home.
However, if you’d prefer your private retreat at the end of the garden to be something a little more fun than a place to work, there’s plenty of other ideas. Maybe you’d like your very own spa? Or a studio to get creative?
A log cabin could be the answer! Here are some ideas for transforming your cabin into the ideal getaway.
A home gym
Not everyone is that keen to return to public gyms while the coronavirus pandemic is still unpredictable. Create your own backyard gym in your log cabin. It can keep bulky exercise equipment out from under the foot in the house, and safe and secure, and protected from the elements. Just be sure that the floor of your shed is sturdy enough to support the weight!
A games room
Whether it’s for yourself, or the kids, or both, everyone will love spending time in a games room. Add a pool table or a table football game, a dartboard, or maybe a big-screen TV and a games console. Include a fridge, and maybe a bar, and cosy seating, and you’ll never want to leave.
A home spa
After a long day of working from home, endless Zoom conference calls, you may love the idea of being able to go and unwind and relax and recharge your batteries in a private spa. Ideal for an insulated shed or cabin, to keep it cool in summer and warm in winter.
An art studio
Ideal for the budding or experienced artist of any kind. Having a private space to think, draw, write, paint, or whatever creative outlet you have would be wonderful. A place to release your inner artist without splashing paint in the home.
Whatever your reason for building a log cabin in the UK, you can find one to fit any purpose in our store.
