Just some of the reasons why our 44mm log wall cabins are our customers preferred choice.
Without doubt, the most popular wall thickness is the 44mm. Best value, you get more for your money. More wood, more strength, more insulation. It's a win win situation. Cabins wider than 4.0m start to become a little unstable in the wall when using 28mm logs, 34 is better but 44 (or thicker !) is best.
If thinking of using your cabin beyond the warmer months of the summer, then you will need levels of insulation that will hold any additional heating provided. Not only does the 44mm wall logs provide excellent insulation, all our cabins manufactured in these wall logs are supplied with double glazing as standard (except the garage and carports) Note - my basic physics knowledge suggests that heat rises, therefore you should give serious consideration to insulating the roof by some means. A minimum of 50mm celotex or similar is recommended.
And because we sell mostly cabins with 44mm logs, our carried stock of these cabins is greater than others so delivery can be quicker than waiting for a less popular cabin to be manufactured.
